Xian Chen (Wei Tian), No. Gujinlou, a scholarly family, a national super-class painter and calligrapher, a graduate student of calligraphy, a professor, and a senior researcher. Born in 1942, a native of Panyu, Guangdong, he loved calligraphy and painting since childhood. He was guided by Mai Huasan in the 1960s. He taught himself painting and calligraphy in the 1970s. He began to systematically study painting and calligraphy theory in the 1980s. Seal, clerical, regular, line, and cursive are all involved, mainly cursive, and created according to the needs of the collector, or the content of calligraphy and painting (with multi-literati paintings) to create "Cursive Thousand Characters Long Scroll", "Mao Zedong Poetry Long Scroll", "Huaisu's Self-narrative Scroll", "Zhang Qian Stele of Linguistic Study", "Holy Teaching Preface" and many other stele scrolls.
